Responsibilities- Conduct preliminary assessments and concept creation.
- Lead designs with support from peers, SMEs, and BIM designers.
- Resolve internal and external problems.
- Produce drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate customer and vendor accessibility.
- Manage concurrent projects to ensure timely completion.
- Design and develop security solutions, create schematics, schedules, and plan drawings.
- Perform calculations for video storage, bandwidth usage, and power loads.
- Coordinate cross‑discipline integration with architectural, civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical/scientific discipline (master’s preferred).
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
- Professional security certifications (CISSP, CPP, PSP, etc.) are a plus.
- 12+ years of professional experience in planning, designing, and commissioning physical security systems and/or communication networks.
- In‑depth knowledge of video surveillance, access control, biometric systems, intrusion detection, and familiarity with leading manufacturers.
- Experience with vulnerability and risk assessments.
- Ability to evaluate emerging security technologies and analyze trade‑offs among options such as multi‑megapixel cameras, thermal imaging, radar, LiDAR, etc.
- Strong understanding of network technologies and cybersecurity principles.
- Exceptional problem‑solving abilities.
- Team collaboration and constructive feedback.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam and design collaboration tools.
- Experience with Revit, ACC, BIM
360, AutoCAD, and/or Micro Station. - Knowledge of CSI design and construction specifications.
- Experience estimating and scheduling mid‑to‑large‑scale project design effort.
- Knowledge of construction cost estimating for security implementation.
- Leading projects and managing resources.
- Mentoring junior staff.
- Design management experience.
- Design experience in data centers.
