Sr Structural Engineer (Data Centers)
Jacobs is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to work on data center projects across the United States. The role involves analyzing, designing, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams on new builds, retrofits, and colocations.
Base Pay Range$ per year – $ per year
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of structural analysis tasks, including member design calculations, foundation design, and material take‑offs for estimating.
- Create computer models for structures across multiple capital projects.
- Assist with schedules, miscellaneous calculations, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and designers and coordinate designs across Jacobs offices; engage with domestic and international partners.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 8+ years of professional experience in structural engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer, with ability to become registered in additional states.
- Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station, S3D) and structural analysis software (RISA, STAAD).
- Strong knowledge of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other relevant design codes.
- Knowledge of Building Codes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to travel 10–20% of the time.
- Master of Science in Engineering.
- Experience with industrial metals projects such as casting or rolling operations.
- Leadership experience managing teams to deliver on schedule and budget while meeting quality and client expectations.
