Role

As the Construction Services Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the construction of projects that contribute to our mission. In this role, you will:

  • Provide expert oversight and strategic guidance to developers to ensure all projects comply with NH Housing’s Design and Construction Policy Rules (HFA 111), Design and Construction Standards, and Design and Construction Standards for Rehabilitation. Serve as a key resource for interpreting these requirements and helping external partners align with organizational expectations.
  • Lead the development, updates, and proposed revisions to multifamily construction policies and rules, helping to ensure consistency, quality, and clarity across all externally managed projects.
  • Collaborate with Development staff and external partners to conduct conceptual reviews of proposed projects and manage NH Housing’s construction bidding process.
  • Select, oversee, and monitor external inspectors responsible for plan reviews and property inspections. Partner with Development staff and external partners to resolve conflicts and ensure smooth communication between inspectors and development teams.

To support onboarding and training, the initial months of employment will be conducted primarily in-office. Following this period, remote work may be available on an intermittent basis, as determined by the manager.

Your Experience, Skills, And Education Should Include
  • Detailed knowledge of construction processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge and understanding of construction contracts and construction administration.
  • Knowledge of construction cost estimating practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
  • Familiarity with building and life safety codes.
  • Ability to establish, monitor, and maintain a team of external construction inspection service providers.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite and ability to learn new software systems as needed.
  • Nine years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in construction-related field.

Starting Pay: $75,500 - $94,300, dependent on relevant experience
