Job Summary We are looking for a Solution Engineer with extensive experience with Cisco Technologies, who can perform Implementations, Support, and Consulting. The role is based in the Professional Services Division, providing both pre‑ and post‑implementation services. We need a dynamic, energetic individual for this demanding position.
Essential Functions
The essential responsibilities are to work directly with customers and Account Managers providing pre- and post‑implementation services and to work effectively across multiple practice areas within Con Res.
Specific Responsibilities
Meet with customers and collect customer requirements.Work with Account Manager/Sales Team to develop customer relationships, solutions, and assist in the overall sales process.Create high‑level solution designs/architecture and present to customers.Create customer‑facing presentations.Create bill of materials & configurations for solutions.Build scope of services and professional service pricing.Write Statement of Works.Perform on‑site work for clients.Project documentation.You Must Be Able To
Work in a team environment / work well individually.Be self‑sufficient and motivating.Travel 25% (required).Manage tasks and workloads.Pay Range
- The pay range for this position is $140,000 – $150,000 per year plus commissions.
- This range reflects the annual salary that Continental Resources reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at the time of posting, consistent with the Massachusetts Pay Transparency Law (M.G.L. c. 149, § 105E).
Job Requirements Required Experience
Must have demonstrable design experience in deployment, administration, configuration, and integration.Experience working as a consultant.Experience working with Cisco partners is desirable.Technical Requirements
2–3+ years of heavily focused Cisco implementation experience and 6+ years of hands‑on & relevant work experience.Pre‑sales ability to recommend Cisco networking solutions, including Wireless, Datacenter, Campus, Service Provider, Security, UC, and UCS solutions.Strong hands‑on experience implementing and troubleshooting Cisco networking equipment, protocols, and features.Routing protocols including EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS, both IPv4 and IPv
6.Understanding of multi‑tier network environments (Core, Distribution, Access).Ability to install Nexus and Catalyst switch solutions (STP, VSS, vPC, Fabric Path, VDC, OTV).Implementing Cisco ASA series firewalls, ISE, and ACS security solutions; ability to configure and troubleshoot a wide variety of customer VPNs.Implementing Cisco Wireless Controllers, Access Points, and Unified Access solutions.Experience with Load Balancer solutions (Cisco, F5, Citrix).Experience with Riverbed, Cisco WAAS, Citrix, or other WAN optimization products.Experience with SP line routers and switches, specifically the ASR series.Experience with Cisco UC voice solutions is a plus.Confidence working on live customer production networks.Seniority Level
