Position: CONTRACT SPECIALIST - DIRECT HIRE AUTHORITY

The primary purpose of this position is to provide business advice and to perform all pre-award and post-award functions for a wide variety of complex and/or specialized acquisitions, using a wide range of contracting methods and types; and to procure commodities and/or services for complex and/or diversified programs.

Duties
  • As part of an Integrated Acquisition Team for an installation, or for development or sustainment of a system or smaller multiple systems within an installation, Direct Reporting Unit (DRU), Field Operating Agency (FOA), specialized unit, etc., plans the overall approach to meet contracting program objectives for a variety of requirements with multiple complexities.
  • Procures complex and/or diversified services, commodities, and/or construction.
  • Executes post-award contract performance management actions on assigned contracts.
  • Serves as business advisor to a wide range of customers.
  • Requirements
    • Selectee may be required to serve a probationary or trial period.

    • The employee must, within 30-days of assuming this position and by 31 October annually, thereafter, file an OGE-450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report. Employee is required to attend annual ethics and procurement integrity training.

    • The employee must meet the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
    • The employee must meet the continuing acquisition education requirements IAW DoDI 5000.66 paragraph E2.2.8.
