Job Summary /

Essential Functions:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform welding on all equipment at the jobsite.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair of catastrophic failures.
• Fuel and grease equipment as required.
• Keep records of work performed.

Special Skills or Qualifications

Required:

• At least one year of experience in welding and repair of heavy diesel equipment, including hard surfacing and repair of ground engaging tools.
• Ability to weld in all positions (horizontal, vertical, overhead).
• Proper use of torch, air arc, stick weld, and wire weld.
• Knowledge of MIG and TIG welding units and metals used in mining equipment.
• At least one year of experience in align boring and re-facing.
• Basic math skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or GED.

• Effective communication and coordination with team members and supervisors.
• Adherence to Company, State, and Federal regulations, policies, and safety standards.
• Ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets and operate power and hand tools.
• Willingness to work any shift, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform walking, standing, climbing stairs/ladders, working overhead, bending, and twisting.
• Prolonged standing and squatting without support.
• Seated operation of equipment or vehicles for up to 4 hours.
• Work from elevated positions and climb on/off equipment and ladders.
• Lift and carry weights between 10-50 lbs frequently.
• Lift boxes up to 50 lbs from floor to shoulder and handle loads as specified.
• Work overhead with light loads.
• Maintain balance on narrow beams.
• Perform repetitive hand/wrist motions with good hand-eye coordination.
• Work in extreme conditions including weather variations, dust, mud, noise, lighting changes, hot environments, and confined spaces.
• Work with equipment experiencing vibration.
• Wear required personal protective equipment as per regulations.
