Maintenance Supervisor

Our Client, an Automotive Manufacturing company, is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for their Bedford, IN location.

• Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
• Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
• Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.

• Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
• Getting manpower lined up for the day. Pass on meeting that starts half hour. They will complete a huddle up meeting and team departs. Constantly on the floor on their feet. Running operation on floor and managing safety issues. Assisting with improvement project with machine down time.
• Need basic computer skills.
• Have 15 to 20 team members and 2 team leaders.
• Get to work with the UAW and build relationships in many different facilities.
• Very high pace environment. Gong to have to adjust and move at a fast rate. And juggle 21 different machines. You are expected to know who to reach out and connect with.
• Must have computer skills with Microsoft and excel. Nice to have is machine
• Injection molding experience is nice to have.
• General high volume manufacturing experience will have.
• Group Leader experience if do not have degree.
• Candidate needs to have manufacturing experience.
• Organizational leadership, management degree, and technical degree will help and be a bonus for the team.
• Need the technical background and be familiar with the die cast. Candidates will need union experience. They may oversee the production team, too!
