Licensed Behavioral Health Professional (LCSW, LMFT, or LCMHC) – Bedford

Join team at Indiana Health Centers, Inc. (IHC), a mission‑driven Federally Qualified Health Center that has been serving underserved and uninsured populations since 1977. IHC provides integrated primary medical, dental, and behavioral healthcare across ten centers throughout Indiana.

At IHC Bedford, we seek a compassionate Licensed Behavioral Health Professional to deliver evidence‑based behavioral health services within our Primary Care Behavioral Health model. You will collaborate with primary care providers and a multidisciplinary team to assess, treat, and manage patients’ mental, psychosocial, and substance‑abuse disorders.

Clinic Hours of Operation
  • Monday – 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday – 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday – 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Thursday – 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Friday – 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of behavioral health patients
  • Assist providers in recognizing and treating mental, psychosocial, and substance‑abuse disorders
  • Develop effective treatment plans and help patients achieve goals
  • Evaluate crises and apply appropriate interventions and referrals
  • Offer assessment, consultation, and brief intervention for psychiatric disorders
  • Maintain active presence and communicate with primary care providers during clinic hours
  • Be available for same‑day and scheduled initial interventions with patients
  • Perform brief, limited follow‑up visits for selected patients
  • Participate in meetings supporting the integrated healthcare model
  • Detect “at risk” patients and develop preventive plans
  • Assist primary care team with care‑management processes, guidelines, disease‑management, case management, and patient education to improve chronic disease self‑management
  • Teach patients, families, and staff about prevention, treatment, and enhancement techniques
  • Monitor site behavioral health program, identify problems, and recommend improvements
Desired Skillset
  • Excellent knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence‑based treatments for medical and mental health conditions
  • Comfortable functioning in a primary‑care pace with an interdisciplinary team
  • Ability to design and implement clinical pathways and protocols for chronic conditions
  • Skilled in brief patient contacts and rapid, accurate clinical assessments
  • Strong communication skills
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity
  • Good knowledge of psychopharmacology
Requirements
  • Master’s degree in social work from an accredited university or college
  • LCSW, LMFT, or LCMHC licensure in the state of Indiana
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including AED
  • Active and clean Indiana driver’s license with state‑mandated auto insurance
  • At least one year of experience (three years or more preferred)
