Overview
Part‑time (24 hours/week) Occupational Therapist position at Bedford Hospital. Provides occupational therapy services for the treatment of physical and psychological dysfunctions. Direct patient care using sensorimotor, functional, educational, recreational, and social activities. Supervises occupational therapy assistants, support personnel, and students. Participates in related activities to support patient care, education, and department operations.
Responsibilities- Direct occupational therapy services for patients with physical and psychological dysfunctions.
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing sensorimotor, functional, educational, recreational and social interventions.
- Supervise occupational therapy assistants, support personnel and students.
- Provide documentation, progress reports and comply with department policies.
- Participate in related activities supporting patient care, education and department operations.
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program or foreign equivalent recognized by Indiana PLA.
- Current license in the State of Indiana.
- Current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
- Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty.
