Position Summary: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Math Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of middle school mathematics concepts, a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment, and a desire to help students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The Middle School Math Teacher will work closely with students to create an engaging curriculum, promote positive behavior, and ensure the academic success of every student.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive, age-appropriate mathematics curriculum for middle school students that aligns with state standards and the school’s goals.

• Teach a variety of mathematical topics including, but not limited to, algebra, geometry, data analysis, and basic arithmetic operations.

• Utilize a range of teaching methods, including lectures, hands-on activities, group work, and technology integration, to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

• Assess student performance regularly through assignments, quizzes, tests, and projects, providing feedback that helps students improve their skills and understanding.

• Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, respected, and encouraged to participate.

• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and academic needs through conferences, emails, and reports.

• Collaborate with other teachers, counselors, and administrators to support the academic and emotional development of students.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and progress.

• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in math instruction and education.

• Encourage students to develop problem-solving strategies, critical thinking skills, and a love for learning mathematics.

• Help students prepare for standardized tests and future academic challenges.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (required).

• Teaching certification for middle school mathematics.

• Previous teaching experience at the middle school level (preferred).

• Strong knowledge of middle school math curriculum and instructional strategies.

• Proficient in using educational technology, such as smartboards, online platforms, and learning management systems.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.

• Passion for working with middle school students and helping them succeed academically.
