Summary
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Assembler will assemble to documentation set and to company quality standards within a specific time frame. Work is performed under direct supervision in a Production environment within our Bedford facility.
As an Assembler, your main responsibilities will include:
Responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budgetAssembling, modifying, reworking, and repairing electronic and electrical assembliesWork from documentation set including wiring and assembly drawings, work instructions, and engineering specsRepetitive electrical assembly and subassembly using hand tools, including powered, solder irons and wire crimpersWire preparation, crimping and soldering lugs, basic wire connectionOperates within standard operating procedures and to quality standardsPerforms other light assembly work as directedMaintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those which govern the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment (WHMIS)Properly use required PPEMay participate in LEAN Events, “Six S” activities, action teams etcSupport, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organizationPerform simple assemblies and hardware installation screws, washers, nuts and have basic understanding of build documentationWhat you require to be successful in the role:
Possession of a High School Diploma and/or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
Minimum of 1+ years of related work experience within a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment preferred
Knowledge of soldering an asset
Manual Dexterity
Ability to pay close attention to detail
Ability to follow instructions (mostly written, but some oral/visual instructions are provided)
Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required
Must follow company safety policies
Ability to work well in a team environment
Must be able to meet quality standards
