Entry Level Machinist – Bedford Heights, OH Position Overview

We are seeking an individual with strong interests in manufacturing, engineering, and problem solving to join our team in Bedford Heights, OH. The ideal candidate will have a desire to learn machining techniques, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and the potential to become proficient with CAD and G-code programming software. This role requires problem-solving skills, learning from senior engineers and machinists in a production environment, and a commitment to quality.

No prior machining experience required.

• Perform accurate measurements of machined and fabricated parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools.
• Create and modify part models using CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Fusion 360, or similar).
• Program, edit, and optimize toolpaths using Gibbs
  
  CAM or other G-code-based CAM software.
• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC and manual machining equipment as needed.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Monitor machining operations to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs, tooling, or setups to improve performance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Candidate should have a strong interest in learning CAD modelling tools, Gibbs
  
  CAM, engineering principles, production techniques, and working in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CAD modeling tools preferred.
  
  Experience using Gibbs
  
  CAM or comparable G-code programming software.
• A desire to learn machining principles, tooling, feeds/speeds, and materials.
• Ability to perform precise measurements and maintain tight tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship a plus.
• Preferred but not required is experience as a machinist in a production or job-shop environment.
• Will consider current high school students able to work part-time with high school approval.
