Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Leader Education are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to work within a SEND school in Yorkshire. This school provides education and care for pupils aged 3 to 16 years who have a range of specific learning difficulties; therefore knowledge of EHCPs is vital. The school operates across two sites – a primary site and a secondary site – offering a warm and inclusive community with a large catchment area from Stockton‑on‑Tees to Harrogate.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 to 16:30 and this is a long‑term position.

• Have a fully enhanced DBS on the Updated System or willingness to obtain one.
• Have relevant experience with SEND or vulnerable individuals.
• Establish a supportive and consistent relationship with pupils, promoting a positive learning experience.
• Develop knowledge and understanding of the academic, emotional, and behavioural needs of each child and respond effectively.
• Be flexible and resilient.
• Possess good classroom skills.
