Coal Mining Sales Account Manager– Medium & High Voltage Electrical Systems | Beckley, WV

Salary: $80,000 - $200,000 per year

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Manage sales and business development within the Appalachian coal mining region (VA, WV, KY, PA, IN)
  • Build and maintain relationships with mining operators, contractors, and engineering firms
  • Sell medium/high voltage power systems, custom switch gear, and modular substations
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, manufacturing, and EPC teams to scope and deliver turnkey solutions
  • Develop strategic territory plans and meet sales goals for revenue and margin growth
  • Represent the company at regional trade shows and industry events
  • Prepare proposals, quotes, and presentations tailored to client applications
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Electrical Engineering, Business, or related field)
  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in mining, heavy industrial, or power systems markets
  • Proven success selling engineered‑to‑order capital equipment or electrical infrastructure solutions
  • Familiarity with medium/high voltage systems (1kV–345kV)
  • Ability to manage long sales cycles and complex bids
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
  • Self‑motivated with a hunter mentality and regional travel flexibility
