Job Description
American Traveler seeks an experienced Medical Surgical/Telemetry RN with at least 2 years of recent MS/TELE experience and a WV or compact RN license.
Responsibilities- Position is on a hospital Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit on the 3rd floor
- Patient ratios typically range from 1:5 to 1:6 and may fluctuate with census
- Uses Meditech EMR system
- Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
- Bi-weekly rotating schedule of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next
- Orientation provided every two weeks
- Float and on-call requirements not specified
- Responsibilities include providing care for adult medical surgical and telemetry patients
- Resource must not be a local candidate; no local applicants accepted
- Travel pairs are generally not allowed unless otherwise specified by unit needs
- No block scheduling available for this assignment
- Holiday and weekend shift coverage may be required per unit needs
- Bi-weekly orientation is available to all new staff
- Active WV or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years current Medical Surgical/Telemetry RN experience
- Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility for consideration
- EMR experience with Meditech preferred
