How you ll contribute

A Painter who excels in this role will:

  • Maintain the appearance and integrity of hospital facilities by performing painting, finishing, and cosmetic repairs on interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Complete surface preparation and repair work, including patching, sanding, priming, and painting walls, ceilings, trim, and other structural elements.
  • Assist with renovations and remodeling projects to support facility improvements and maintain a professional healthcare environment.
  • Ensure work areas remain safe, clean, and organized, following hospital safety procedures and infection control guidelines.
  • Accurately complete required documentation and work orders in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Support the Facilities team in maintaining a safe and orderly hospital environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and teamwork by assisting with various maintenance tasks and responding to facility needs as they arise.

What we re looking for

  • High school diploma or equivalent - required.
  • Trade or vocational school training in painting, construction, or a related field - preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a painter or painter s helper.
  • Valid driver s license - required.
  • Knowledge of painting techniques and surface preparation, including patching, sanding, priming, and finishing.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced or stressful environment and take appropriate action while maintaining safety and quality standards.
