How you'll contribute

A Plant Operations Coordinator who excels in this role:

  • Processes repair requests and creates work orders, ensuring maintenance needs are accurately documented, prioritized, and completed to support safe and reliable facility operations.
  • Distributes and tracks monthly preventive maintenance (PM/PE) work orders, helping ensure building systems are serviced according to schedule and remain compliant with facility maintenance standards.
  • Maintains the TMS system and departmental records, including policies, manuals, files, logbooks, and accreditation documentation to support regulatory compliance and survey readiness with organizations such as The Joint Commission.
  • Collaborates with the Plant Operations Director to maintain Life Safety compliance, tracking inspections, scheduling required activities, supporting fire drills, and maintaining documentation in accordance with standards from National Fire Protection Association.
  • Ensures utility and structural repairs are addressed promptly, coordinating work performed by internal staff and external contractors to maintain safe, functional building operations.
  • Assists with inspection, testing, and documentation of fire and life safety systems, including fire risers, sprinklers, extinguishers, fire doors, and related equipment to maintain Life Safety compliance.
  • Coordinates maintenance equipment repairs and vendor services, obtaining estimates, tracking service activities, and processing invoices to ensure timely repairs and operational continuity.

What we're looking for
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of college preferred.
  • Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple work orders, schedules, and records while maintaining accuracy.
  • Critical thinking and sound judgment, with the ability to work independently and take appropriate action with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing demands, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments, leadership, vendors, and contractors.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and maintenance management software.
