What this job involves
As a Materials Coordinator at JLL, you'll execute the comprehensive day-to-day operations of our warehouse and storage facilities, serving as a critical link in our supply chain management. Working within our culture of collaboration, you'll manage warehouse inventory, oversee Nike product security protocols, and ensure exceptional customer service within established service level agreements. This role empowers you to thrive in a dynamic environment where you'll coordinate vendor operations, maintain safety protocols, and provide outstanding customer communications through phone, email, and in-person interactions.
You'll embrace innovative ways of working as you continuously adapt to new processes, refine documentation, and contribute to shaping a brighter way for our clients through efficient warehouse operations and meticulous inventory management.
- Oversee vendors loading, unloading, and packing storage items and products while ensuring quality standards
- Process outgoing shipments utilizing appropriate service providers, ensuring proper packaging and inventory updates
- Enter new items and effectively update inventories using warehouse management systems
- Escort visitors to secure storage areas following corporate safety protocols and building logistics requirements
- Respond to incoming emails and customer inquiries within established service level agreements
- Navigate and understand corporate culture while continuously adapting to learn new and updated processes
- Track work order completion daily and update with appropriate status transitions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Forklift certification with experience operating both standup and sit-down forklifts
- Proficiency in inventory and warehouse management software systems
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel with ability to complete tasks efficiently
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision and strong troubleshooting skills
- Understanding of building logistics including elevator capacity, loading docks, and security access requirements
- Experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, and inventory control procedures
- Ability to identify areas for process improvement and implement effective changes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to interact well with all employee levels
- Creative, high-energy, can-do team player with self-motivated work approach
- Acute attention to detail with comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
- Experience developing, refining, and maintaining internal process documentation and vendor SLAs
