This role is focused on delivering a consumer-led merchandising strategy within the North America marketplace. The Channel Merchant will drive end-to-end ownership of seasonal assortments, translating product strategies into channel-specific plans that support revenue growth, marketplace competitiveness, and consumer satisfaction. Success in this role requires strong product affinity, analytical rigor, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
The Channel Merchant will help shape the Soccer category strategy across North America channels, contributing to a collaborative, inclusive, and performance-driven team culture.
Key Responsibilities- Own and manage the channel assortment strategy across multiple seasons simultaneously.
- Translate product vision and category strategies into actionable, channel-specific merchandising plans.
- Leverage sales, inventory, bookings, and consumer behavior data to inform in-season adjustments and long‑term planning.
- Develop seasonal tools and storytelling materials to communicate priorities to Sales and marketplace partners.
- Drive strong cross‑functional collaboration to ensure alignment between merchandising, planning, and marketplace execution.
- Monitor and optimize retail and digital performance metrics, including sell‑through, margin, full‑price realization, weeks of supply, and inventory productivity.
This role partners closely with teams across:
- Planning
- Brand
- Marketplace Teams
- Finance
- Operations
- Insights & Analytics
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience in Footwear, Apparel, Equipment, or related consumer product merchandising, product creation, or retail (vertical, multi‑brand, or digital environments).
- Strong understanding of wholesale and direct‑to‑consumer marketplace dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to convert consumer insights and marketplace trends into strategic and in‑season actions.
- Experience preparing seasonal merchandising tools and partner‑facing communications.
- Proven success working within a matrixed North America organization.
- Strong communication, influencing, and relationship‑building skills with high attention to detail.
