Headcount: 3 Positions (Special Project - Jordan & Client Sales Planning Team)
The WHQ-based Planning Team is seeking a Lead Assortment Planner / Demand Planner to support a special project within the Jordan and Client Sales Planning Team. This role will focus on communicating Point of Sales (POS) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data to internal and external stakeholders.
The planner will support sales and retail partners by providing insights into marketplace performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and defining what healthy POS performance looks like.
Key Responsibilities Sales & Marketplace PlanningOptimize the business with Marketplace Partners through effective assortment and demand planning.
Support pre-season forecasting and react to in-season trends through detailed results analysis.
Establish clear financial plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Develop style-level plans to inform financial strategies that influence buy and supply decisions.
Data Analysis & Performance MonitoringPull POS and KPI data and analyze key takeaways.
Craft clear headlines on marketplace performance, identifying what is working and areas for improvement.
Monitor performance indicators, analyze sales results, and manage key product forecasts.
Provide in-season recommendations and actionable insights on risks and opportunities.
Create plans that optimize overall business health while achieving financial targets.
Communication & CollaborationTranslate complex data and planning insights into easily understood communication for diverse audiences.
Partner cross-functionally with sales, merchandising, planning, marketplace teams, and brand teams.
Engage externally with retail partners and marketplace accounts.
Foster productive dialogue and align financial plans with overarching strategies.
Support a collaborative, inclusive team environment focused on accountability and results.
Required Qualifications (Must Have)5+ years of retail experience with strong retail acumen in assortment planning.
Experience pulling and analyzing POS and KPI data.
Ability to synthesize complex topics and present insights clearly to varied stakeholders.
Strong data storytelling and analytical skills.
Advanced Excel capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)Stock and sales planning experience within footwear, apparel, or retail industries.
Experience with the o9 (Oh-nine) planning tool.
External engagement experience with vertical retail customers (e.g., Dick's Sporting Goods).
Experience working cross-functionally in similar industry environments.
Work Environment & Team StructurePlanning point person for the product line at WHQ.
Regular collaboration with internal teams including sales, merchandising, planning, marketplace teams, and brand.
Engagement with external contributors and leaders.
