CNC Machinist

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a CNC Mill Machinist for a long-term, day shift role with a manufacturing company located in Beaverton, OR. The person in this position will set-up and run three axis vertical mills to machine parts for a variety of industries.

PAY: $27-$30/hr

CNC Machinist Responsibilities:

* Set-up and operation of mill parts with varying complexity and precision.

* Suggest modifications to program/setup to increase tool life, limit waste, and improve part quality.

* First article and intermittent inspection of parts to prints.

* Assisting with fixture development and implementation.

* Deburr parts as needed.

* Assisting with training for less experienced machine operators.

* Willingness to cross-train in other manufacturing departments.

* Follow all safety guidelines including wearing appropriate PPE (safety toe boots, safety glasses) at all times.

* Work a standard schedule of 5AM-3:30PM, Monday through Thursday. Flexibility to work occasional over time on Fridays and/or Saturdays during high production.

CNC Machinist

Qualifications:

* 3+ year of CNC Mill operation experience including doing set-ups.

* Excellent blue print reading skills.

* Knowledgeable about GD&T.

* Experience with standard inspection equipment (calipers, height gage, etc.).

* Experience machining metals such as (stainless, mild/hardened steels, aluminum).

* Reliable and punctual (Attendance is critical)

* Enjoys fast pace work environment and is able to change priorities easily and transition well from job to job.

* Professional demeanor and respectful attitude towards colleagues in all situations.

* Flexible and willing to help others as needs to meet production demands.
