Looking for an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
Requirements- At least 2 years of maintenance and repair experience with mechanical equipment and machinery
- Work from blue prints, shop drawings, schematics, sketches, and written instructions
- Understand written and verbal communication in English to comply with Company and area safety policies and practices
- Proficient with precision measuring instruments commonly used in the trade
- Proficient with power and hand tools
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Relate to others beyond giving and receiving instructions
- Willingness to work rotating shifts
- Responsible for maintenance and repair of all Assembly department equipment
- Make preventive maintenance check and inspection of production equipment, report findings to supervisor and take appropriate action
- Perform maintenance on automated mechanical equipment and production area equipment
- Work from blueprints, shop drawings, schematics, sketches, and written instructions
- Notify maintenance department or supervisor of recurring equipment malfunctions and corrective action taken, and of quality problems or supplies needed
- Insure all safety devices are in place and functional and in compliance with company safety policies and procedures
- Understand and use basic equipment, hand tools, and industrial measuring instruments commonly used in the trade
- Provide technical support to production personnel to insure product quality
- Maintain maintenance records and spare parts inventory, consumable parts and miscellaneous items
- Operates hand and power tools and basic tool
- Responsible for the safekeeping of precision measuring instruments and all tools issued to the maintenance area
- Operates from established and well-known procedures while at times determining its own practices and procedures
- Perform recurring work situations with occasional variations from the norm involving a moderate degree of complexity
- Work with variety of cleaners, solvents, and lubricants
- Complete on the job and specialized training as required
- Position requires lifting and / or carrying minimum 50 pounds, standing for the majority of the shift, using a wide range of motion to include working in awkward physical positions
- Performs product examination and rework when line is down due to causes beyond mechanic's control
