Sr. Event Technology Project Manager
Location: Remote within United States
Position Overview: Opus Agency, a global event agency, is seeking an experienced Event Technology Project Manager to lead medium‑to‑large events, managing attendee‑facing digital platforms, onsite operations and client delivery.
Essential Responsibilities- Lead the planning, execution and closeout of attendee‑facing event technology projects such as registration, content/schedule management, session scanning, exhibitor and speaker resource centers, mobile apps, and customer service.
- Serve as the overall Opus project lead on small‑to‑mid‑size events with exclusive event technology and registration services.
- Represent all Opus Event Technology & Registration work streams to clients, acting as the primary point of contact.
- Develop, maintain and drive workback schedules and documentation for platform/tool builds.
- Lead complex client and internal meetings, providing demos and technical guidance.
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies, escalating critical issues as needed.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget, overseeing onsite deployments such as badge pick‑up and session scanning.
- 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably with corporate events using Rainfocus, Swoogo, Stova, Cvent, Eventbase or Airtable.
- Proven success managing large, high‑touch events from concept to execution.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Supervisor experience is an advantage.
- Experience with content management and group housing management.
- Strong critical thinking, organization and analytical skills.
- Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft, Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, and file sharing tools.
- Ability to adapt to last‑minute changes and fast‑paced environments.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Full‑time position with competitive salary ($78,000–$90,000).
