Position

Summary

The Traveling Plant Operations Supervisor (based out of Beaverton, Oregon) will oversee and support plant operations teams at all communities, assuring consistent daily and preventative maintenance. You will ensure the building and all areas of the property meet The Springs Living standards for appearance, safety, cleanliness, and overall functionality. The traveling plant operations supervisor will report directly to the Director of Asset Integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with proper and consistent preventative maintenance of facility exterior, including building, lawn, plant, and/or flower beds, walkways, driveways, and parking lot, by performing or supervising maintenance tasks or facilitating such performance by contracted maintenance services personnel
  • Assist with proper and consistent maintenance of facility interior, including residential apartments, common areas, offices, storage rooms, and kitchen, by performing or supervising maintenance tasks or facilitating such performance by contracted maintenance services personnel
  • Assist with proper and consistent maintenance of technical equipment, including computers, fire systems, lighting systems, phone systems, and emergency response systems, by performing or supervising maintenance tasks or facilitating such performance by contracted service personnel
  • Utilize TELS to address documented maintenance concerns promptly
  • Repairs facility equipment or facilitates repair by contracted maintenance services personnel
  • Performs maintenance tasks for residents (i.e., moving furniture, hanging pictures, etc)
  • Assures all equipment and supplies related to maintenance tasks are stored appropriately and safely
  • Performs duties associated with facility emergency preparation and response systems, including but not limited to fire safety and fire drills
Qualifications
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in a plant operations leadership role
  • Maintains current and appropriate driver’s license and safe driving record
  • Maintains current CPR and first aid certification as necessary to fulfill state regulations
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, residents, employees, and the general public
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, electronic, or schedule form
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Proficient PC skills including e-mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc
