Title: Labeling Manager
Location: Corporate
Reports to: Director, Food Safety & Policy
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Summary
The Food Labeling Manager serves as Reser’s subject matter expert on North American food labeling regulations and leads a team of corporate labeling professionals to ensure all product and case labels meet regulatory and company standards.
Essential Position Functions- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in food labeling compliance for US (FDA & FSIS), Canada, and Mexico.
- 3+ years of experience leading and developing technical teams, including performance management and coaching.
- FSMA, PCQI, HACCP Certifications preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable business guidance.
- Strong business orientation with the ability to balance regulatory rigor with operational and commercial needs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams.
- Proven success implementing scalable labeling policies and processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in dynamic or ambiguous environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, labeling software, and nutrition databases.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer required while in the office.
- Must be able to occasionally life items up to 20lbs.
- Requires the ability to travel to various work locations by car or plane up to 40% of time.
- Sufficient skills to read/review product labels, instructions, or job aids.
- The environment may be wet or dry and temperatures may range from 25°F to 110°F.
- Office environment; flexible schedule may be required based on business needs.
