Recreational Therapist - PACE
Providence Health & Services
DescriptionPart‑time position: 32 hours per week, weekdays, day shift.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing a variety of therapeutic social, recreational and diversional events for participants.
- Conducting individual assessments to identify participants’ interests and needs.
- Developing and implementing a range of individual and group activities.
- Participating in interdisciplinary care planning.
- Coordinating recreation documentation for assigned participants.
- Assisting with training and supervising assigned aides.
- Leading facility‑wide participant‑centered events.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Therapy.
- National Provider BLS – American Heart Association (upon hire).
- Therapeutic Recreation Specialist Certification within 6 months of hire.
- At least 2 years of experience providing recreation with the elderly or disabled.
