ResponsibilitiesLead the design, prototyping, manufacturing, testing and qualification of a satellite battery system including the battery pack, as well as charging, discharging, and Battery Management System (BMS). Work closely with the power systems engineering and mechanical engineering teams to develop a complete, flight-ready solution.
Qualifications- BS or higher in electrical engineering
- 5+ years of experience developing lithium chemistry battery systems
- 5+ years of experience designing DC‑DC power converters and/or battery chargers
- Experience with industry standard electrical engineering and layout tools
- Located in the Portland, OR metro area (or willing to relocate)
- 10+ years of experience developing lithium chemistry battery systems
- 10+ years of experience designing DC‑DC power converters and/or battery chargers
- Experience with multi‑kilowatt power systems
- Experience with spacecraft power systems (PCDUs, solar arrays, etc.)
- Knowledge of aerospace qualification processes
- Knowledge of aerospace reliability analysis and industry practices
- Deep knowledge of battery chemistries and performance parameters
- Experience with rapid prototyping
- Experience with Altium, SIMPLIS, etc.
The base salary range for this position is $,000. Pay may vary based on skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
