Cedar Hills Recreation Center | Tualatin Hills Park & Recreation District (THPRD)

Are you passionate about youth sports and looking to make a positive impact? THPRD is now accepting applications for Middle School Track & Field Coaches for the Spring 2026 season.

The season runs from March 3 through May 12, 2026. Regular practices are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Beaverton School District Middle School Campuses. Most practices run 4:30 PM – 5:45 PM, though some schools (ISB) practice earlier from 3:35 PM – 4:40 PM. Meets take place at BSD high school campuses and occur on Tuesday & Thursday evenings, extending later than regular practice times.

• Instructor I:
  No teaching experience required; must love working with people of all ages and abilities; able to work inside and outside; and be at least 16 years of age. Effective February 15:
  The hourly hiring range is $19.19 – $21.63, based on experience and internal equity. The full pay range for this job classification is $19.19 – $21.63. Employees hired into this role may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.
• Instructor II
  :
  Must have at least 1 year of experience in leading and instructing general classes and be at least 16 years of age. Effective February 15:
  The hourly hiring range is $21.15 – $23.85, based on experience and internal equity. The full pay range for this job classification is $21.15 – $23.85. Employees hired into this role may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.
• Instructor III
  :
  Must have over 2 years of experience and specialized training in the assigned program area; be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license. Effective February 15:
  The hourly hiring rate is $25.71, based on experience and internal equity. The full pay range for this job classification is $25.71 – $28.99. Employees hired into this role may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.

This is a part-time, variable position. Hours vary based on program needs and will not exceed 2,080 hours per year. Employees in this classification typically work an average of less than 20 hours per week.
