We are seeking a Senior Color Designer to lead seasonal color strategy and execution for product lines across apparel, footwear, or fashion categories
. This role focuses on creating innovative, market-relevant color solutions, managing end-to-end color execution, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver commercially successful products in a fast-paced environment.
- Lead end-to-end seasonal color design, ensuring alignment with product strategy and on-time execution from concept to production.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Marketing, Development, and Materials teams to ensure color feasibility and market success.
- Research color, fashion, and consumer trends to develop innovative, retail-ready color strategies and seasonal stories.
- Apply consumer and market insights to enhance product appeal and competitive positioning.
- Present color direction and create impactful materials for stakeholder alignment and seasonal reviews.
- Mentor junior designers, share best practices, and support continuous improvement in color processes and tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fashion, Textiles, or related field.
- 5+ years of directly relevant experience in color design within apparel, footwear, or fashion.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
- Experience working within a structured product creation or development process
- Knowledge of color development, sampling, and production execution
- Experience in fast-paced fashion, apparel, or product-driven environments
- Strong understanding of color feasibility across different materials and finishes
- Process-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to changing business needs
- Deep knowledge of textiles, materials, and special finishes
- Experience with footwear color design
- Experience working in startup or high-growth environments
- Familiarity with PLM or product management systems
- Hybrid schedule:
Monday–Thursday onsite in Los Angeles;
Friday remote. - Collaborative, cross-functional team environment with seasonal deadlines.
