Overview

This design role sits within a highly creative, culture-driven apparel team focused on building innovative lifestyle and sport-inspired product. The environment encourages originality, boundary-pushing ideas, and purposeful design. The ideal candidate brings strong cultural awareness, creativity, and a deep understanding of communities and subcultures that influence sport, fashion, and street style. This role values designers who can translate cultural insights, narratives, and influences into compelling apparel concepts that honor the past, elevate the present, and shape the future of style and sport.

You’ll Work With

This position reports to a Creative Director and collaborates with a cross-functional team within the Global Energy Apparel group. Collaboration spans partners in Graphic Design, Product Management, Merchandising, Materials/Trim Development, Technical Development, and Sourcing. The designer will translate consumer and athlete insights into trend-right lifestyle apparel product. This role does not include direct reports.

Who We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Apparel/Fashion Design or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in an apparel design environment working with materials, trims, design, and fit.
  • Strong foundational design skills: sketching, drawing, analog and digital illustration.
  • 3D design experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, concept creation, color theory, and design presentation.
  • Ability to clearly convey design ideas to internal and external partners.
  • Solid understanding of apparel materials, color use, trims, and fit standards.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating apparel/fashion design experience, ideally including lifestyle apparel or collaborative projects.
What You’ll Work On
  • Execute apparel design aligned with defined creative direction for collaborations, partnerships, and seasonal concepts.
  • Develop designs from concept to final execution — including refinement, prototyping, and reviewing materials and details to support the intended narrative.
  • Collaborate with Directors and designers to elevate concepts and maintain creative intent across product creation, including assisting with tech packages.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product Design, Development, Merchandising, Marketing, and external partners to deliver cohesive, high-quality results within timelines.
  • Explore innovative materials, silhouettes, construction techniques, and graphic ideas to support collaboration and creative innovation.
  • Present work clearly to stakeholders, articulating design rationale, cultural context, and execution decisions.
  • Manage design presentations and communicate concepts effectively to ensure alignment with timelines, operational requirements, and brand standards.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $74.00/hr.
