Apparel Product Designer Job Beaverton area,Oregon USA,Creative Arts/Media

We are looking for an Apparel Product Designer for a 6-month engagement hybrid role in Beaverton, OR. You will be working on women’s running apparel. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the ideation and realization of cutting-edge women’s running apparel. You’ll leverage your deep understanding of performance needs, consumer insights, and advanced construction techniques to create groundbreaking products that elevate the athlete’s experience.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will drive the design process from concept to prototype, ensuring seamless integration of innovation and functionality. Your contributions will directly impact the future of athletic wear, shaping how athletes train, compete, and experience the sport.

Responsibilities:

Transform innovative product visions into tangible prototypes, demonstrating proof of concept.

Utilize advanced knowledge of product construction, materials, and processes to create high-performance apparel.

Develop and communicate compelling narratives that showcase the design ethos and vision behind women’s running products.

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.

Contribute to the overall team performance by sharing expertise and best practices.

Must-Have Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of directly relevant experience in clothing product design or cut & sew design.

Equivalent experience may be considered instead of a degree:
PhD or Law + 6 years;
Master’s + 7 years;
Associate’s degree + 9 years;
High School + 10 years.

Proven experience as a technical performance designer in lifestyle and performance apparel.

Proficiency in hand sketching and rapid ideation techniques.

Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

Experience designing and running apparel.

A passion for innovation and bringing new ideas to life.

Experience with 3D design software (CLO or similar tools).

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across multiple functions and teams.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $51.00 to $56.67 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
