Hybrid – Beaverton, OR (Friday REMOTE)
- Senior Color Designer role focused on apparel product appearance, communications, and collateral materials.
- The position drives color execution, innovative solutions, consumer insights, presentations, and skill development to ensure market success for category or gender-specific lines.
- Plans and executes color designs while collaborating with design, product marketing, development, and material consultants for market-focused solutions.
- Reviews samples, communicates changes, maintains color calendars/timelines, develops line art, GPIN, merchandising lines, and finalizes product details.
- Creates innovative, retailable color solutions; researches color, design, market, and lifestyle trends from briefing to samples.
- Proposes seasonal color strategies, creates category-specific direction for color, materials, and graphics; leads merchandising strategies with directors.
- Applies in-depth consumer and brand-positioning knowledge to enhance product performance; analyzes competitors, retail habits, and trends.
- Presents category-specific color direction and merchandising to groups; produces materials for internal audiences and color committees.
- Advances color expertise, mentors junior designers, and pursues projects to build business, color, and design knowledge.
- Bachelor's degree with minimum 5 years directly relevant work experience in true color design for apparel (or equivalent: PhD/Law +3 yrs, Master's +4 yrs, Associate's +6 yrs, HS +7 yrs).
- Experience with large apparel brands (preferred for pace/urgency); strong eye for color fashion at senior level.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft tools.
- Experience with Vizcom AI.
- Prior experience with the company to hit the ground running.
