Responsibilities- Explore ideas in textiles and print/pattern from trend through technological advancements.
- Collaborate with product creation teams to deliver a high‑level athlete experience with a commercialized materials palette grounded in sustainability goals.
- Drive seasonal material development in partnership with vendors and manufacturing teams from concept to commercialization, including requesting testing, tracking, and creative material solutions.
- Work effectively within the materials team and cross‑functional partners (Innovation, Design, Product Merchandising, Technical Development, Sourcing, Manufacturing).
- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Science, Apparel, or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in apparel product creation or a similar industry.
- Technical materials knowledge (yarns, knitting, weaving, dyeing, printing, finishing).
- Knowledge of knits, wovens, ribs, and print.
- Experience partnering with vendors to develop and test a material from inception to production.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Digital literacy, including Microsoft Office and Product Data Management.
- Experience managing multiple projects with competing resources and deadlines across multiple seasons.
- Information‑seeking skills and the drive to make things happen.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group.
- Ability to travel up to approximately 10% of the time.
- Experience with performance materials and industry material trends is highly desired.
