Textile Designer (Textile Developer II)

Location: Beaverton, OR (Hybrid)

Contract: 6 months

Rate: $28 - $32 per hour

• Explore ideas in textiles and print/pattern from trend through technological advancements.
• Collaborate with product creation teams to deliver a high‑level athlete experience with a commercialized materials palette grounded in sustainability goals.
• Drive seasonal material development in partnership with vendors and manufacturing teams from concept to commercialization, including requesting testing, tracking, and creative material solutions.
• Work effectively within the materials team and cross‑functional partners (Innovation, Design, Product Merchandising, Technical Development, Sourcing, Manufacturing).

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Science, Apparel, or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in apparel product creation or a similar industry.
• Technical materials knowledge (yarns, knitting, weaving, dyeing, printing, finishing).
• Knowledge of knits, wovens, ribs, and print.
• Experience partnering with vendors to develop and test a material from inception to production.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Digital literacy, including Microsoft Office and Product Data Management.
• Experience managing multiple projects with competing resources and deadlines across multiple seasons.
• Information‑seeking skills and the drive to make things happen.
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group.
• Ability to travel up to approximately 10% of the time.
• Experience with performance materials and industry material trends is highly desired.
