Lead Technical Designer – Apparel
This role is fully onsite in Beaverton, Oregon.
Responsibilities- Lead advanced pattern making, sample creation, and fit execution to support apparel development projects from concept through refinement.
- Identify and resolve construction, pattern, and manufacturability challenges while delivering against project briefs and timelines.
- Partner cross-functionally with design, product, materials, and manufacturing teams to align technical solutions with design intent.
- Support studio operations through training development, workshop facilitation, and hands‑on guidance within a maker‑space environment.
- Maintain studio standards, including tools, equipment usage, inventories, and sewing machine upkeep, while contributing to SOPs and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design, Textile Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands‑on product creation experience.
- 5–10 years of advanced pattern making experience within the apparel industry, with demonstrated end‑to‑end product development exposure.
- Expert‑level proficiency in pattern making, garment construction, and hands‑on use of sewing and embroidery equipment.
- Strong working knowledge of Optitex, flat patterning, and Adobe tools within a technical design context.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, communicate technical concepts clearly, and operate effectively in a fluid, fast‑paced environment.
Up to $55/hr. (DOE)
