The Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District (THPRD) is seeking highly organized Front Desk Support staff committed to delivering exceptional customer service. The Front Desk Support position serves as the first point of contact for visitors, focusing on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for our patrons.

Scheduling

Staff are typically scheduled for 3 to 28 hours per week, between 5:45 a.m. and 10:15 p.m.

Currently, Shifts That Need Coverage Are As Follows
  • Monday 11:30 a.m.

    - 4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday 11:30 a.m.

    - 4:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday 11:30 a.m.

    - 4:30 p.m.
  • Friday 2:00 – 10:15 p.m.
  • Saturday 7:45 a.m. – 2:15 p.m.
  • Saturday 1:30 – 9:15 pm

Times may vary based on programming needs.

Pay

The hiring range for this position is $19.19 to $19.78 hourly, based on experience and internal equity. The full hourly range for this job classification is $19.19 to $21.63. Staff may be eligible for a merit increase at the end of September.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer multi-line telephone and direct calls to appropriate personnel and take accurate messages.
  • Greet the public and provide information and assistance regarding schedules, program descriptions, and other general information over the phone and in person.
  • Perform general clerical support, such as preparing and formatting forms, letters, and reports from rough draft or detailed instructions.
  • Assist the public with program enrollment by signing participants up for programs, receiving money, and performing related registration procedures.
  • Create a positive experience for customers through professional and courteous behavior.
  • Assist with the daily cleaning and sanitization of the work area and maintain the health and safety of all participants and staff.
Qualifications
  • Previous administrative and clerical support experience preferred
  • Knowledge of office management principles and ability to apply them to workplace tasks
  • Ability to create a welcoming and inclusive environment
  • Basic proficiency in Office 365, including Word, Excel, Publisher, and Teams
