About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturer, is seeking an Accounts Receivable & Deductions Specialist to support their accounting operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and enjoys analytical work related to trade claims, deductions, and short payments.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, research, and process customer deductions, short pays, and trade claims to ensure timely and accurate resolution.
• Partner with internal departments to gather approvals, supporting documentation, and necessary backup for claims.
• Reconcile accounts and apply payments while maintaining detailed records of deductions and adjustments.
• Utilize Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) to analyze data and support reporting accuracy.
• Maintain a strong understanding of debits, credits, and general accounting principles.
• Support the AR Supervisor with special projects and assist during peak business periods as needed.

Qualifications:

• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills; able to adapt to changing priorities.
• Clear, professional communication skills-both written and verbal.
