The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of all Credit Union buildings, grounds, mechanical systems, electrical systems and physical building access systems (keys, locks, electrified door hardware, safes, safe deposit boxes).
Responsibilities- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on all Credit Union buildings, equipment and systems, ensuring proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed. Report gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to mitigate member impact and risk. (70%)
- Work with all customers (internal and external) to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction. (10%)
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry into the Maintenance Management software system, keeping accurate credit card expenditure logs and preparing reports as deemed necessary by the Maintenance supervisor. (10%)
- Assist customers with design and construction of new projects. (10%)
Skills and Qualifications
The Maintenance Technician should be computer literate and skilled in a variety of trades including carpentry (including office cubical systems), plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance. Electrical knowledge should include CCTV installation and troubleshooting, a working knowledge of backup power systems and fire alarm system, and physical building access systems (keys, locks, electrified door hardware, safes, safe deposit boxes). This is best gained with on-the-job experience, vocational training, or a combination of both:
- At least 2-5 years of experience in general maintenance or other jobs that require the same skills.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, climb and work from ladders, stand for long periods of time.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- The Maintenance Technician must also be able to work outdoors in the elements – with exposure to moderate levels of heat, cold, and moisture.
- The Maintenance Technician must also be able to work nontraditional work week, be on an on-call schedule. Based on needs of the organization this may include weekend and holidays.
