Assistant Director of Care

- Provide exceptional nursing services.
- Work the floor at times and oversee the med cart.
- Scheduled to work every other weekend as well as a holiday rotation.
- Be flexible, compassionate, and dependable.
- Know nursing/medical practices, procedures, regulations, and guidelines.
- Manage supervisory and nursing support personnel.
- Review staff performance and ensure state standards of quality care are adhered to.
- Ensure all shifts are adequately staffed.
- Assist with day-to-day functions within the nursing department and make rounds during patient checks.
- Communicate effectively written and verbally with residents, staff, management, and families.
- Collaborate with the Director to identify and resolve departmental deficiencies with implemented correction plans.
- Identify and address any quality-assurance auditing issues.
- Train new nursing staff.
- Assist with care plans and assessments.
- Sit in on care conferences.
- Maintain an on-call rotation with the Director of Care.
- Great customer service skills.
- Valid Ohio Nursing License.
- Ability to communicate in writing and verbally with co‑workers, residents, family members and business partners.
- Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from internal and external sources.
- Basic math skills.
- Make complex decisions requiring a high degree of judgment; decisions affect overall operation of the facility.
- Pass a pre‑employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
