Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional nursing services.
  • Work the floor at times and oversee the med cart.
  • Scheduled to work every other weekend as well as a holiday rotation.
  • Be flexible, compassionate, and dependable.
  • Know nursing/medical practices, procedures, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Manage supervisory and nursing support personnel.
  • Review staff performance and ensure state standards of quality care are adhered to.
  • Ensure all shifts are adequately staffed.
  • Assist with day-to-day functions within the nursing department and make rounds during patient checks.
  • Communicate effectively written and verbally with residents, staff, management, and families.
  • Collaborate with the Director to identify and resolve departmental deficiencies with implemented correction plans.
  • Identify and address any quality-assurance auditing issues.
  • Train new nursing staff.
  • Assist with care plans and assessments.
  • Sit in on care conferences.
  • Maintain an on-call rotation with the Director of Care.
Qualifications
  • Great customer service skills.
  • Valid Ohio Nursing License.
  • Ability to communicate in writing and verbally with co‑workers, residents, family members and business partners.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from internal and external sources.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Make complex decisions requiring a high degree of judgment; decisions affect overall operation of the facility.
  • Pass a pre‑employment drug screen, physical, and background check.
