Responsibilities- Perform MRI Examinations
- Ensure Patient Safety and Comfort
- Administration of Contrast Media
- Maintain MRI Equipment and Safety Standards
- Collaboration with multi-disciplinary health care team
- Document and Manage Patient Information
- Research of Implantable Devices for MRI Compatibility
- Adhere to Compliance and Regulatory Standards
- Assist with Workflow and Operational Efficiency
The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality MRI exams in a timely manner while maintaining a strong understanding of MRI safety protocols, including those related to research workflows. They interact positively with multiple patient populations and serve as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team. Flexibility is essential, as the position may require on-call availability and holiday coverage. Performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsMinimum Education
Graduate from ARRT accredited MRI educational program OR Graduate from ARMRIT accredited MRI education program
Required Licenses / Other
Minimum
Work Experience:
One year of MRI experience preferred.
ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT at hire (Preferred) OR ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT within 24 months of hire date if starting with radiography credentials (R/N/Os/T) and then obtaining MR/ARMRIT. Current BLS required.
Required Skills
Proficient in operating an MRI scanner and adjusting imaging parameters; well-versed and compliant in MRI safety and understands research workflow for MRI safety requirements; patient positioning and comfort while ensuring patient safety; emergency response; attention to detail; critical thinking and problem-solving; time management; empathy and patient care; ability to work independently and with team members; capable of performing timely, quality MRI exams.
Preferred Qualifications
Position will rotate between Soin Medical Center and KH Greene Memorial. This is a new position for growth to improve access for outpatient MRI. The schedule will involve a weekend day, with holiday and on-call as needed by the department.
