Are you ready for your next career challenge? The Non-Kinetic Effects Business Area, part of the Defense Sector at Leidos, has an opening for an Electrical Engineer to support various testing and integration of mission critical systems
. As an Electrical Engineer on this program, you will have the opportunity to support various types of testing from internal acceptance/compliance bench testing, up to flight testing. Daily activities include but are not limited to building electrical test plans, writing test cards, designing and building test jigs, test articles and integrating pods per electrical design specifications and finally reporting on all testing results.

You will be part of a high performing, fast paced team that plans and manages acceptance testing, compliance testing and flight testing of cutting edge technologies for various military and civilian aircraft platforms.

Must be able to work on-site. Situational telework may be available

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the planning and performing of a full spectrum of testing (Bench testing to Flight Testing).
  • Designing and building of test articles (e.g. Jigs, Boxes, Cables).
  • Electrical Engineering support for integration operations (e.g. Pods and Line Replaceable Units (LRUs)).
  • On-site support for flight test operations.
  • Understanding proper aircraft wiring and electromagnetic interference practices for use during integration and testing efforts.
  • Understanding and following best testing practices to ensure repeatability of the test, uniformity of documentation and proper archiving of test documentation.

Core Qualifications:

  • BS degree in electrical engineering or a similar engineering discipline with less than two years of experience.
  • Must be a U.S citizen.
  • Must have an active Top Secret clearance.
  • Capable of designing and developing electrical schematics
  • Experience with working in small teams.
  • Ability to help develop and execute test plans and test reporting
  • Technical writing skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Test plan and/or test report writing skills.
  • Any previous experience supporting remote exercises and demonstrations at test ranges in the United States.
  • Datalink/Mesh Network Field Experience
  • COMSEC Experience
  • Hands-on aircraft maintenance and/or modification experience.
