Environmental Services Aide

Beaver Dam Health Care Center is a skilled nursing home facility that provides residents with a positive experience. The Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned areas. This includes cleaning, laundry, and maintenance tasks to ensure the environment is well-maintained, safe, and pleasant for all residents and family members.

• Cleaning Tasks
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all areas of the facility.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and bedrooms.
  • Change bed linens and make beds.
  • Wash windows and mirrors as required.
  • Clean floors, carpets, rugs, and furniture.
• Laundry and Linen Management
  • Wash, dry, fold, and iron laundry as needed.
  • Ensure that all linens (sheets, towels, etc.) are cleaned and replaced.
  • Sort and organize laundry and linens for efficient storage.
• Organization
  • Ensure rooms, hallways, and common areas are organized and well-presented.
  • Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and cleaning materials as needed.
• Waste Management
  • Empty trash cans and dispose of waste appropriately.
  • Recycle items as necessary.
• Safety and Maintenance
  • Ensure all cleaning products and tools are used safely and in accordance with guidelines.
  • Report any maintenance issues (broken equipment, plumbing issues, etc.) to the appropriate personnel.
• Guest/Resident Interaction (if applicable)
  • Greet guests and residents, ensuring their comfort and needs are met.
  • Respond to any special requests regarding cleaning or services.
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with others.

• Experience:
  
  Previous housekeeping experience preferred, but not required.
• Skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Familiarity with cleaning tools, equipment, and products.
• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Long term care facility
• May require standing, bending, lifting, and carrying cleaning equipment.
• Must be comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and equipment.
