About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled 3D CAD Modeler to support engineered design and fabrication workflows. The ideal candidate will excel at producing precise, material-specific models that align with project documentation and industry standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and seamless coordination across engineering and fabrication teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models using Tekla, SDS2, or Advanced Steel.
• Review and interpret engineered drawings, project documents, and specifications.
• Ensure all models meet dimensional, material, and design requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and fabrication personnel to support project execution.
• Maintain organized documentation, revision histories, and version control.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve design or modeling inconsistencies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with Tekla, SDS2, or Advanced Steel.
• Background in construction or metal fabrication.
• Strong spatial reasoning and mathematical skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Clear and professional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Collaborative team player with a positive, goal-oriented attitude.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced, deadline-driven project environments.
• Knowledge of fabrication shop standards and workflows.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Interest in ongoing professional development.
