We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to provide on-site leadership at a manufacturing facility in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. This role reports to the Director of Operations and plays a critical part in driving a strong safety culture, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across the site.
The EHS Manager leads day-to-day environmental, health, and safety programs, partners closely with operations and cross-functional teams, and champions a proactive, zero-incident mindset. This individual ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations while implementing industry best practices that support safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
What You’ll Do- Lead and manage all environmental, health, and safety activities for the assigned facility
- Implement and sustain site EHS programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, Wisconsin DNR, DOT, and applicable local regulations
- Serve as the facility expert for hazardous waste management, waste reduction, and recycling initiatives
- Oversee SDS/Hazard Communication and industrial hygiene programs
- Plan and deliver EHS training; lead Executive and Employee Safety Committees
- Champion the site’s Drive to Zero and other strategic EHS initiatives
- Conduct audits, inspections, and Job Safety Analyses; drive corrective actions
- Investigate incidents and near misses and implement preventive solutions
- Lead ergonomic assessments and safety risk reduction efforts
- Drive waste minimization initiatives across operations and the supply chain
- Act as SAP Super User and site Data Management Systems Administrator
- Manage an EHS Specialist based on facility size and travel between facilities as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of progressive EHS experience
- 3+ years implementing safety programs in an operational environment
- Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or EHS-related field
- Manufacturing environment experience
- Strong knowledge of waste management and environmental regulations
- Experience with lean principles and continuous improvement
- CHMM, CSP, CIH, or PE certification
- SAP or comparable ERP experience
- Experience supporting FTZ or security requirements
- Experience preparing environmental reports including Tier II, TRI, emissions, hazardous waste, and air permits
- Strong knowledge of environmental and safety regulations and standards
- Ability to influence and engage employees and leaders across functions
- Expertise in ergonomic assessment tools and safety risk analysis
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Clear communicator able to train and present to executive audiences
