Waterproofing Technicians

Skillforce is currently hiring experienced Waterproofing Technicians for a long-term, contract-to-hire opportunity supporting projects in Baton Rouge and at Barksdale Air Force Base. This position offers steady, high-hour work schedules of 60-70 hours per week, typically working 7 days per week with some Sundays off.

Pay ranges from $18-$25 per hour, depending on experience, with strong earning potential due to consistent overtime. Heavy travel is required and employees will receive $30 per day per diem, plus single-occupancy lodging is provided. Workers are transported to job sites in company vehicles.

This work requires individuals who are dependable, safety-focused, and able to meet federal base access requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform waterproofing, caulking, and water intrusion prevention work
• Assist with roofing-related waterproofing applications
• Seal joints, cracks, and penetrations to prevent moisture intrusion
• Work safely on commercial and federal job sites
• Follow all safety regulations and site-specific requirements
• Maintain quality workmanship and productivity standards

Qualifications

• Prior experience in roofing, caulking, waterproofing, or water intrusion repair preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• Must pass a drug screen
• Must pass background check suitable for federal base access
• Ability to work extended hours (60-70 hours/week)
