Job Overview:
As a Field Merchandiser Floater, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally you may also work with other product lines in the stores you serve.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Your starting pay will be between $12.00 – $14.00 per hour depending on your skills and experience.
- This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours are between 3 – 10 hours per week.
- Availability during the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Use a mobile device provided by Hallmark to restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Use technology to communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys. Interaction with store employees, management, and customers is essential. - Holiday support:
During peak holidays (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas), expect additional days and extended hours. Some holidays may require work on the actual day, including weekends. - Department resets:
Assist with installations, fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Two weeks’ notice is typically provided for remodel assignments; assignments may include evenings or weekends. - Team support:
Collaborate with the Hallmark field organization to support other team members as needed within their territories.
This role requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day, and may climb stairs and step ladders.
BasicQualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Read, write, and understand English.
- Capable of grasping, pulling, lifting, and carrying products up to 30 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi network and Internet.
- Access to consistent transportation to travel between assigned stores as scheduled.
