• Be a Team Member:
  Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicates with team members; and being flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas.
• Be an Expert:
  Demonstrates knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepares (for example, cutting, grinding, wrapping, trimming) meat products according to established standards; cuts boneless meat products; maintains product quality standards.
• Be a Techie:
  Uses digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; uses handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.
• Be an Owner:
  Maintains commitment to operational excellence, keeps work area compliant with company policies and procedures; ensures quality and date control standards for meat products; secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise; eliminates waste; assists members with purchasing decisions; ensures merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored per procedures.
• Be a Talent Ambassador:
  Advocates for the department and club by valuing the member’s experience in the meat area and modeling high-quality service and products; executes basics at the highest level and shows energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; uses the Open Door Policy; applies these in executing business processes.
• Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and other partners; identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carries out tasks; communicates progress; considers improvement opportunities; adapts to change and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00.

• The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage for the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable.
