PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Facilitate the efficient operation of an administrative department office and warehouse.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Knowledge of proper procedures for lifting and handling heavy materials and of safety standards
- Effective organizational and management skills; time management skills
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders, verbal, and written instructions
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- One year work experience in similar job preferred
Distribute textbooks and all instructional material to schools.
Inventory textbooks.
Pick up old instructional materials and remove from campuses.
- District vehicles
- Use pallet jacks, dollies, ladders, scaffolding, and other similar warehouse equipment
Mental Demands
- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Lifts 50-75 pounds frequently, 75-100 pounds occasionally, more than 100 pounds infrequently.
- Climbs ladders, works in high places, works in cramped quarters, works in inclement weather and location (hot, cold, dry, and damp).
- Walks, stands, kneels, stoops, bends, and squats for prolonged times.
- Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job.
