Description
Summary:Provides basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff and ensures patient safety and well-being.
Responsibilities:- Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS
Competencies:
Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. - Answering patient calls and helping patients with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Feeding patients, measuring and recording their food and liquid intake.
- Monitoring and documenting patients' temperature, blood pressure, and other vital signs and reporting changes to nurses or doctors.
- Assisting nurses or doctors with medical procedures and dressing wounds.
Education/Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience
- Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
- BLS required.
