Industrial Hygiene Technician
TES is looking to expand our team of Industrial Hygiene Technicians. Industrial Hygiene is the study and analysis of physical and chemical hazards that impact a workforce. We study, test, and strive to remove these hazards from the workplace. If these hazards aren’t removed, they may cause long term effects to our clients most valuable assets, their employees.
Responsibilities- Sampling for respirable crystalline silica
, personnel, air samples - volatile organic compounds
, personnel, air samples - noise dose
, personnel, samples; this must include downloading the results and formatting the equipment printout - asbestos
, personnel, air samples - hydrogen sulfide air samples via data logging equipment; this must include downloading the results and formatting the equipment printout
- community monitoring or emergency response monitoring
- maintaining and inventoried IH equipment
- conduct respiratory fit tests (qualitative or quantitative)
- conduct IH field audits
- employee communication notifications

Requirements/Qualifications- Associate/Bachelor’s degree in environmental health, industrial hygiene, occupational safety, chemistry, toxicology, or related discipline.
- One to three years previous experience working in an industrial facility is desired.
- Working knowledge of relevant regulatory interpretations and professional experience in industrial hygiene, ergonomics, ventilation, radiation safety, occupational health behavioral safety concepts and a strong technical background.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with presentations and written report preparation.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft applications.
- Must be able to interact well with others and work in a team environment.
- Must want to work in an Industrial setting for extended hours.
