Overview

Headquartered in Austin, TX, Atlas has over 3,500 employees with offices throughout the US. We are seeking an LDAR Technician to join our Beaumont, TX team.

Responsibilities
  • The Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) Technician provides office and field support of LDAR projects including Method 21 and Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) surveys.
  • Inspect facilities for gas leaks and identify suspicious areas using gas analyzers or optical gas imaging cameras.
  • Monitor components on an assigned route within an industrial facility to ensure proper operation and safety; maintain records of events.
  • Conduct air monitoring and emissions measurement activities, perform equipment calibrations and maintenance, and collect and organize field data for air quality compliance and emissions assessment programs; ensure timely assessments in accordance with environmental regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (military service and/or technical degrees preferred) but not required.
  • Demonstrated integrity and work ethic.
  • Pass a rigorous background check and drug test.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work alone, lift up to 40 lbs., work in adverse weather (hot/cold), climb, and work at heights up to 300 feet.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week plus possible overtime.
Technical Requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills and teamwork abilities.
  • Mechanical aptitude and enjoyment of outdoor work.
  • Task-oriented with the ability to maintain tight schedules.
  • 2-4 years of field experience in technical, industrial, and/or oil and gas services (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to read and understand Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs) preferred but not required.
Other Qualities
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time, with time at home.
  • Self-starter capable of managing daily schedule.
  • Reliable, with consistent attendance and job completion.
  • Good client service skills and ability to interact with project stakeholders.
